The Untold Story

This post was liked on a forum a regularly read, and though it's about RPing a fandom on the internet rather than LARP, I think the points carry over very well. An entertaining read, if nothing else.

RP Drama and You

So, the big ICC plot in Changeling was to give the Autumn Court 'Provosts,' or some form of a global sub-stucture. I hear the Summer Court has the same st enforced IC structure thing going on. People claim this will go well.

To me, all I see is a few players who got shineys from the Season itself. Now they're supposed to sit quietly in a corner and not try to boss other non-special autumns around?

Yeah.

In my mind a count down has begun to changeling becoming what it's be flirting with all along: The Requiem Venue with sunlight.

James tells me I'm being horribly cynical. Maybe he's right.

Anyone have somethnig to make me feel better about this?

1. Pick one of your characters. If I (not the character you selected, me personally) have not interacted with the character in question, leave me a wiki. I do have a right to refuse due to "honestly, I have no clue about your character). If you think you'd like bg ties with any of the characters, this would be a good opportunity to get that rolling!

2. Pick a song to go along with it.

3. I will go and write up a scene based on our two characters, interactions, etc.

4. You have the right to go off and say "that never happened." though if you like it and there would only be minor edits, well, minor edits it is!

I've been having a load of trouble writing anything for any of my characters. Every time something fun happens (and a lot has been happening to at least 3 characters) I just can't get anything to come out. So, I've created a challenge for myself. For the next few weeks/months I'll be writing several entries, each one centered around a song from the 'Across the Universe' soundtrack (since I love it so). My plan is to do this until I've covered every song.

I'm going to list the songs here and come back and check them off every time I get one done.

This is mostly for me. However, if you see a song that you'd like me to make centered around one of your characters and mine that hasn't been done yet, feel free to post and request. I can't promise it will happen, but I will do me best. This is open to any venue, for past or present characters.

So I spent the last hour reading James's Changeling book. Outlined here's a quick sketch then a rough concept detail behind the cut, looking for ties or just comments on improvement. I haven't been able to read the whole book (he caught me and took it away) so not complete yet.

Return of the Song Meme (by Request!)

This is by request...

The return, of the infamous "Song Meme".

That's right readers...You post this to your livejournal, your readers choose their character, your character, and what song they want YOU to write.

Why should you do this?

Because it's fun! And you get to learn all sorts of things about other people's characters...

Oh yeah - and you can post thoughts, emotions, scenes, made-up scenes...and it's open to ALL venues! Any IC scenes between characters though, have to be agreed upon by both parties before those scenes actually take effect.
